The Bombay High Court reduced a woman's maintenance being paid by her estranged husband from ₹50,000 monthly to ₹25,000. Commenting that equality cannot be claimed selectively, HC said that both earning partners must contribute to household expenditure and child's education. The court noted that the husband was paying EMIs for two houses - one in Andheri and another in Panvel.
