Stock exchanges released standard operating procedure (SOP) on introduction of "Closing Auction Session" (CAS) in the equity cash segment. The closing price of stocks in the cash segment will be determined by CAS. It will replace VWAP for settlement in qualifying stocks. A single equilibrium price (match price) will be discovered, which will become the official closing and settlement price.
