The SEBI on Tuesday banned former TV anchor Pradeep Pandya and analyst Alpesh Vasanji Furiya from the securities market for five years and fined them ₹1 crore each. "Pandya, while serving as an anchor for CNBC Awaaz, shared confidential information regarding upcoming stock recommendations with Alpesh Furiya and vice-versa," SEBI said. Furiya executed trades based on this information.
