Fake '1980s retro photo' apps being used to scam people amid '80s photo trend

Amidst ongoing '80s photo trend, Telangana Cyber Security Bureau warned people against fraudsters who are using attractive ads for fake apps and promising to transform photographs into 1980s-style retro photographs. On clicking the link, APK file gets installed on phones and gains access to sensitive information, including SMS messages & OTPs. People have been advised not to open suspicious links.
