France is facing the "most severe drought" ever recorded in the country, French Prime Minister Élisabeth Borne warned in a statement on Friday. Many areas in France are going through a "historic situation" as the country endures its third heatwave this summer, she said. Borne announced the activation of a government crisis unit due to the situation.

The chargesheet in Saif Ali Khan stabbing case has revealed that the fingerprint samples collected from inside his Mumbai flat did not match with that of the accused Shariful Islam. Nearly ⁠20 samples were sent, of which 19 did not match, according to News18. The only fingerprint that matched with the accused was the one recovered from the eighth floor.
