Gold prices have surged around 30% in the past year to nearly ₹80,000 per 10 grams, the Financial Express reported. The precious metal's price stood at around ₹60,750 per 10 grams during the last Diwali. If the rally continues, gold prices could cross the ₹1 lakh mark by next year's Diwali, the report estimated.
