Govt approves apex body to coordinate multiple transport-related ministries

PM Modi-led Union Cabinet approved the Integrated Transport & Logistics Authority, which will prepare a long-term master plan covering roads, railways, ports, aviation, waterways, urban mobility and logistics. ITLA will technically appraise and monitor major projects over ₹500 crore. It will address fragmented planning and implementation across multiple transport-related Ministries and agencies.
