Argentina is witnessing a surge in hantavirus cases, which local public health researchers have linked to the accelerating effects of climate change. The Health Ministry on Tuesday reported 101 Hantavirus infections since June 2025, nearly double the number recorded during the same period a year earlier. The ship on which the virus claimed three lives had departed from Argentina.
