How US helped Israel counter Iran's attack?

After Iran attacked Israel, two American warships namely the USS Arleigh Burke and USS Carney, destroyed between four and six ballistic missiles. Separately, US aircraft shot down more than 70 Iranian drones, a military official said. A Patriot missile battery also shot down a ballistic missile. An official said there were 100 ballistic missiles in the sky at one point.
