Bombay High Court ordered the immediate release of 50 Indian seafarers stranded for nearly three months on three vessels in the Arabian Sea and criticised vessel owners for treating crew worse than "pet animals". Recalling the days, one seafarer said, "Even though I'm a vegetarian, I still had to eat fish...to survive." The crew members reportedly survived on 300 ml...water/day.
