Kerala forms medical board to probe use of expired Remdesivir

Kerala Health Minister K Muraleedharan said his Assembly remarks on expired Remdesivir were based on Health Department information and are yet to be independently verified. Records showed the drug, which expired in May 2023, was used in 2024 and 2025, including for Nipah patients. A medical board has been formed to investigate its use and examine whether it contributed to patient deaths in Kerala.
