Monsoon may raise risk of vaginal yeast infections
Monsoon humidity, sweat and damp clothes can create conditions that encourage Candida growth, increasing the risk of vaginal yeast infections. Symptoms include itching, burning, redness and thick white discharge. Gynaecologist Dr. Gana Srinivas says more women report these complaints during the rainy season, but experts caution against self-diagnosing every vaginal symptom as a yeast infection.
