National record holders Gurindervir, Animesh bow out of Asian Games

Indian sprinter Gurindervir Singh missed out on the men's 100m final after clocking 10.32s to finish 11th overall in the semi-finals at Asian Games 2026. Animesh Kujur also failed to make the final after finishing 18th overall in the semi-finals, clocking 10.38s. Notably, Gurindervir is the national record holder in 100m while Animesh holds the 200m national record.
