OpenAI Co-founder Greg Brockman said Sam Altman was fired as CEO over a Google Meet call shortly before the company published a blog post announcing his exit. "We too are still trying to figure out exactly what happened," Brockman, who also quit after being removed from OpenAI's board, said. Altman was fired after the board "lost confidence" in his leadership.
