Unseasonal and surplus rainfall in May has brought significant relief to Himachal's forests by sharply reducing wildfire incidents during the peak summer season, though the wet spell has simultaneously raised concerns among fruit growers. Only 66 forest fire incidents have been recorded across the state so far this summer, affecting around 460.2 hectares of forest area.
