Replacing Sanjay Dutt in 'Yudh' broke our friendship: Rajiv Rai

Director Rajiv Rai revealed that replacing Sanjay Dutt with Jackie Shroff in his 1985 debut film 'Yudh', after the actor faced personal issues cost him a deep friendship. Rai said he was unhappy with the decision, adding they are now only 'friends on the surface'. The entire film had to be reshot, with Anil Kapoor also recast.
