In the stray dogs issue, Supreme Court said, "The right to live with dignity...encompasses the right...to move freely and access public spaces without living under constant apprehension of.... life-threatening events, such as dog bites." The right is enshrined under Article 21 of Constitution of India. Court refused to lift its ban on releasing captured stray dogs back into public places.
