SC upholds HC ruling in Ilaiyaraaja's 'En Iniya Pon Nilave' copyright case

The Supreme Court refused to interfere with the Delhi High Court ruling that music composer Ilaiyaraaja does not hold copyright over the lyrics and sound recording of 'En Iniya Pon Nilave' from Tamil film 'Moodu Pani'. The HC had ruled he retains rights only over the tune, not lyrics or sound recording. Saregama holds those rights.
