Sony has increased the price of its PlayStation 5 standard edition in India by ₹15,000, taking the retail price to ₹69,990 from ₹54,990. Sony had earlier hiked prices for the PS5 across the US, Europe, Japan, and Southeast Asia, citing a "challenging economic environment". Price for the PS5 digital edition was hiked by ₹5,000 in India in July last year.
