India's steel ministry has asked the finance ministry to remove anti-dumping tariffs on low-ash metallurgical coke imports, citing supply shortages and higher domestic prices, Reuters reported. India had imposed the temporary duty in December for six months. Imports of the steelmaking raw material, mainly sourced from China, Indonesia, Poland, Japan and Switzerland, have declined sharply.
