Ohio Senator and ex-US President Donald Trump's running mate, JD Vance, said he received a phone call from Trump just minutes after he became the target of a second assassination attempt. Vance said Trump was upset over not being able to finish his golf game. A 58-year-old man had attempted to attack Trump at the latter's golf course in Florida.
