Ukraine brings back 1970s-era missile to intercept Russian drones

Ukraine recently used a Soviet-era air-to-air missile, the R-60, to intercept a Russian S8000 Banderol missile. The stocks of newer R-73 missiles are dwindling after years of combat, forcing Kyiv to bring back the 1970s-era R-60, which are considered obsolete. Ukraine is using R-60 against drones and cruise missiles, as well as adapting some for ground-based air-defence systems.
