The Centre told the Supreme Court that the students who returned from Ukraine cannot be accommodated in Indian universities as there was no provision for it in the National Medical Commission Act. The Centre said that allowing this would hamper the standards of medical education in India. Justices Hemant Gupta and Sudhanshu Dhulia will likely hear the case on Friday.
