US judge bars Trump admin from threatening election officials ahead of midterms

A US federal judge has temporarily barred the Trump’s administration from threatening state and local election officials with criminal charges related to ballot processing in the midterm elections. Several labour groups had filed a lawsuit accusing Department of Homeland Security of intimidating election officials through letters sent nationwide, some reportedly delivered by armed DHS officials.
