US Supreme Court expands President Trump's powers

The US Supreme Court expanded presidential power as it ruled to uphold President Donald Trump's firings of heads of independent federal agencies. The court overturned a 91-year-old precedent that prevented presidents from removing members of independent agencies at will. However, the court rejected Trump's attempt to fire Federal Reserve board member Lisa Cook over allegations of mortgage fraud.
