A veterinary doctor died after being attacked by a hippopotamus at the Thyavarekoppa Tiger and Lion Safari in Karnataka's Shivamogga. The deceased, Dr Sameeksha Reddy, had reportedly entered an enclosure to provide medical care and was attacked by the hippopotamus. As per Forest Minister Eshwar Khandre's office, she was rushed to a local hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
