A video showed a murder-accused allegedly attacking a Punjab policeman with a knife to escape while being taken back from a medical examination at the Civil Hospital in Hoshiarpur. The prisoner inflicted multiple injuries on the policeman's face and hand before being shot down during retaliatory firing by the policeman. He died due to the injuries in the hospital.
