Virtual reality pioneer John Carmack is stepping down from his role as a consulting CTO at Meta. In a post to the company, Carmack wrote he wasn't able to "kill stupid things" before they caused damage or move things despite having "a voice at the highest levels" at Meta. "This is the end of my decade in VR," he said.
