India's largest telecom operator Vodafone Idea on Monday said its board has appointed Suresh Vaswani, an IIT Kharagpur alumnus, as an independent director for three years. The 59-year-old is currently acting as an external global advisor to US-based Bain & Company, it added. Vaswani has also previously worked at IBM Global Technology Services, Dell India and Wipro.
