What is the Bundibugyo Ebola strain spreading in Congo?

The Bundibugyo strain of the Ebola virus has raised concern after a new outbreak in Congo killed around 80 people. First identified in Uganda in 2007, the virus spreads through direct contact with infected bodily fluids and can cause severe fever, vomiting, bleeding and, in serious cases, death. Experts say it is generally less deadly than Zaire strain but still poses a major public health threat.
