What is the difference between OCI Cardholders & NRIs?
An Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) Cardholder can hold one or more foreign passports, but cannot obtain an Indian passport, voter/EPIC ID, or ration card. They must pay tax to Indian government on income earned during their stay in India. An NRI, on the other hand, is entitled to hold an Indian passport, to vote and even hold constitutional posts.
