Williams sisters knocked out in 1st round of US Open women's doubles

Serena and Venus Williams were knocked out of the US Open 2026 women's doubles after losing to Hao-Ching Chan and Maya Joint in the first round. The sisters gave up a 5-0 lead in the 10-point match tiebreak, losing 6-3, 6-7(6), 7-6(10-7) to the Taiwanese-Australian pair. Venus and Serena hadn't played Grand Slam doubles together since the US Open 2022.
