Govt so far blocked 43 OTT platforms for showing obscene content

The central government has so far disabled access to 43 OTT platforms for displaying obscene content, Union Minister L Murugan informed the Lok Sabha on Wednesday. The minister stated that OTT platforms were under obligation not to transmit any content prohibited by law and to undertake age-based classification of content as per the guidelines in the Information Technology Rules, 2021.
