They are followed by all-rounder Auqib Dar (₹8.4 crore, DC), leg-spinner Ravi Bishnoi (₹7.2 crore, RR) and all-rounder Venkatesh Iyer (₹7 crore, RCB).

Scientists create world's smallest programmable robots, share pics

The world's smallest fully programmable and autonomous robots have been created by researchers from Universities of Pennsylvania and Michigan. "These microscopic swimming machines can independently sense and respond to their surroundings," researchers stated. The robot, which is barely visible to the naked eye with a measurement of 0.2 by 0.3 by 0.05 millimetres, costs a penny per unit.

As many as 18 players with a base price of ₹2 crore each went unsold in the IPL 2026 mini auction. They include Devon Conway, Steve Smith, Maheesh Theekshana, Daryl Mitchell, Jake Fraser-McGurk and Michael Bracewell. Other prominent players to not find any takers include Vijay Shankar, Umesh Yadav, Jonny Bairstow, Deepak Hooda and Mayank Agarawal.

Australia all-rounder Cameron Green was the most expensive buy in IPL 2026 auction after being bought by KKR for ₹25.2 crore. Sri Lanka pacer Matheesha Pathirana was bought by KKR for ₹18 crore, becoming the most expensive Sri Lankan buy in IPL auction history. CSK bought uncapped players Kartik Sharma and Prashant Veer for ₹14.2 crore each.

Sarfaraz Khan returns to IPL with ₹55-lakh hike after getting unsold for 2 years

Chennai Super Kings (CSK) bought batter Sarfaraz Khan at his base price ₹75 lakh in the IPL 2026 mini auction in Abu Dhabi on Tuesday. Sarfaraz has got a hike of ₹55 lakh from his last IPL salary, which was ₹20 lakh in IPL 2023. The 28-year-old had gone unsold in IPL 2024 and 2025 auctions.
