Portion of 200-yr-old 'dangerous' building collapses in Kolkata; woman dies, 18 rescued

A 53-year-old woman died and 18 people were rescued after a portion of a more than 200-year-old building collapsed in north Kolkata's Jorabagan amid heavy rain. The Kolkata Municipal Corporation had previously classified the building as "dangerous" and "dilapidated". The deceased woman's husband alleged he repeatedly asked the owners for repairs, but claimed they didn't take any action.
