Fish served at Congress event in Ayodhya, row erupts

A controversy erupted after fish was served at an event in Ayodhya to welcome UP Congress chief Ajay Rai. "Consuming fish at this time [Sawan] is an open display of Congress' anti-Sanatan mindset," said BJP's Ved Prakash Gupta. However, Congress' Ram Milan Nishad said, "It is not written anywhere in the Constitution that fish should not be eaten in Sawan."
