Sjoerd Marijne returns as coach of Indian women's hockey team

Sjoerd Marijne has been reappointed as chief coach of the Indian women’s hockey team, Hockey India announced on Friday. The Dutchman guided the side to a best-ever fourth-place finish at the Tokyo Olympics in 2020. The 51-year-old, who will be supported by analytical coach Matias Vila, replaces Harendra Singh, who resigned in December amid complaints over his behaviour.
