AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi slammed the Ministry of Minority Affairs' decision to charge an additional ₹10,000 from Haj pilgrims due to the situation created by the Iran war. He said ₹90,844 per pilgrim was collected a couple of months ago. He asked whether pilgrims were being "punished" for going through Haj committee, as he dubbed the extra fee "exploitation".
