Congress falsely claims 0.5% charge on UPI payments above ₹2,000; BJP fact-checks

BJP's Amit Malviya fact-checked Congress for claiming that the government will levy a 0.5% charge on UPI payments above ₹2,000. "The September 14 notification simply clarified zero-charge protection for...transactions up to ₹2,000. No 0.5% charge has been fixed on UPI payments above ₹2,000," he said. He called Congress' ₹25 and ₹50 estimates "fabricated calculations" based on an "imaginary rate".
