Amul hikes milk prices by ₹2 per litre across India

Amul is increasing milk prices by ₹2 per litre across India, effective from May 14. The Gujarat Cooperative Milk Marketing Federation, which owns Amul-branded products, cited an "increase in cost of operations and milk production" behind the move. "There has been a substantial rise in the cost of cattle feed, milk packaging film and fuel during the year," GCMMF said.
