84-year-old businessman arrested for sexually abusing 13-year-old girl in Chennai

R Veeramani, a noted granite businessman, has been arrested for allegedly sexually abusing a 13-year-old girl in Chennai. Veeramani, 84, and two of his aides (a man and his wife) were arrested in the case that came to light in October 2025. Police found that Veeramani had rented a house where several minor girls were brought by his aides.
