Army veteran revives Uttarkashi school, student count rises 6-fold

Retired Army Major Rohit Chaudhary transformed Happy By Nature School in rural Uttarakhand's Uttarkashi, increasing student enrolment from 30 to 180 kids. After leaving his corporate career following COVID-19 pandemic, Chaudhary focused on addressing local educational gaps. The school supplements NCERT learning with science experiments, electronics, music, afforestation and food-forest projects.
