Atomic clock stops on ISRO's IRNSS-1F in major setback to India's navigation satellite system

The atomic clock on ISRO's indigenously built IRNSS-1F satellite has stopped functioning in a major setback to India's navigation satellite system or NavIC. NavIC requires a minimum of four operational satellites to function, the failure brings it down to three. ISRO said the satellite "successfully completed its mission life of 10 years" and will now work for various societal applications.
