As many as six prisoners at Virginia's Red Onion prison "set themselves on fire" to protest against the "inhumane" conditions at the high-security state prison. The authorities confirmed six incidents while others reported that 12 men were injured. "They burned themselves using improvised devices...created by tampering with electrical outlets," Virginia's Department of Corrections said.
