Aparna Kurup, a Kerala TV journalist, has been booked for allegedly hurting religious sentiments through her remarks during a debate over Sunni cleric Kanthapuram AP Aboobacker Musliyar's "women should remain in homes" remark. According to FIR, Kurup remarked that certain individuals act as if consuming cannabis or engaging in sexual misconduct is permissible under the teachings of the Quran.
