Paramount takes over Warner Bros after winning battle with Netflix

Paramount closed its $110-billion deal with Warner Bros Discovery, completing one of the biggest media mergers of all time, after a months-long battle with Netflix. The new media behemoth, Skydance, will bring together entities like HBO, CBS, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and DC Studios. It'll also own iconic franchises like Harry Potter, Game of Thrones, and The Lord of the Rings.
