Markets regulator SEBI said the compliance officer of manager of an Alternative Investment Funds (AIFs) shall obtain certification from the National Institute of Securities Market (NISM). Managers of AIFs must ensure that, with effect from January 1, 2027, only those persons who have obtained this certification are appointed. AIF Regulation mandates AIF managers to appoint a compliance officer.
