The Centre told Supreme Court that it's serious about not pursuing FIRs against students who were involved in NEET paper leak protests. Notably, the Cockroach Janta Party (CJP) had ended its protest last month over assurances that no adverse action would be taken against the protesters. The top court said states are free to close or withdraw cases against protesters.
