Chess Grandmaster R Vaishali recently created history by becoming the first-ever Indian woman to win the Candidates tournament. One of the Grandmasters who helped her achieve this was five-time world champion Viswanathan Anand, who has been her mentor. Grandmaster RB Ramesh has been her teacher for over a decade, while 19-year-old Grandmaster Pranesh M provided moral support to the 24-year-old.
