Karnataka para-athlete Shilpa K Shyla bagged a bronze medal in the F-57 shot put event at the 2026 Commonwealth Games. The village she hails from, Kanchugara Koppal in Mysuru, erupted into celebrations, and her family marked the achievement by distributing sweets. Shilpa lost her left leg at age four and has overcome many hurdles to rise to the international stage.
